John Tabacco: We’re back. All kinds of crazy things happening, the fear, fright, and hysteria that’s going on out there. We’ve got to look after our health at all times. One of the leading experts in the world of biomedical innovation, AKA the PhD to the pros, Dr John Jaquish joins us today. John.
Dr. John Jaquish: Thanks for having me.
John Tabacco: Really appreciate it.
Dr. John Jaquish: This is great.
John Tabacco: You’re here. You’ve got all kinds of weapons. It looks like exercise gear, which scares me already.
Alison Maloni: It’s a little bit scarier being this close.
Dr. John Jaquish: Well, it’s probably the most approachable exercise gear that anybody’s ever seen. It also works better than regular weight training because the problem with regular weight training and the reason why so many people don’t engage in it and fail at it, is that we overload joints and under-load muscle. Any strong people you guys know probably complain about joint pain. The stronger you get, the more you load the joint.
Dr. John Jaquish: Whereas, I developed a system which was based on a medical device I created. This is a 600 plus pound, like in a dead lift format, band that hooks to this bar and then has a plate on the ground so that you can do a dead lift. You can throw that around your back and do a chest press. It’s the world’s strongest variable resistance.
John Tabacco: Like this? Is that-
Dr. John Jaquish: Not like that. You’ll tear your coat doing that, though. Yeah, like right now you’ll tear your coat.
John Tabacco: Yeah, don’t do that.
Alison Maloni: Okay.
Dr. John Jaquish: Yeah, it’s good to know. Definitely.
Alison Maloni: Do you want to show me, as an example?
Dr. John Jaquish: You know what? None of us are dressed for it, but what you do is you double that thing over and throw it through the hooks and then as you push away, so when I do a chest press, I’m holding 540 pounds here, 300 pounds here, and a hundred pounds here.
Alison Maloni: Okay.
Dr. John Jaquish: Which delivers the strongest amount of variable resistance to trigger more muscular growth. This will really replace weight lifting as the ultimate … Here.
John Tabacco: Try that on for size.
Dr. John Jaquish: As the ultimate way to trigger the human body for adaptation. Yeah. It’s not light.
John Tabacco: This is a heavy bar.
Dr. John Jaquish: Yeah, it’s aluminum on the outside and solid steel.
Alison Maloni: Ready?
Dr. John Jaquish: Not, no. Again, no.
Alison Maloni: No? Okay. No, no.
John Tabacco: I want to ask you this. I love the weight training. I’m willing to submit if you wish to trying some with you at some point, see if it has any effect on me.
Dr. John Jaquish: It will. It will have a stronger effect than anything.
John Tabacco: Anything could happen. You’ve had some interesting insights in our last couple of minutes here on the coronavirus.
Dr. John Jaquish: Yeah.
John Tabacco: What’s really happening there? What’s causing this?
Dr. John Jaquish: Well, so of what we know about the coronavirus right now, it is fecal transference, meaning we need to have poor sanitation to be able to transfer to other people. Now that doesn’t mean we know everything about it, but that also means that countries with poor sanitation, the chances of spreading it are greater. Countries with great sanitation like this one for example, and Italy … I’m sure Italy will get a handle on this very easily. Now we have other diseases that transfer like that: hepatitis e coli, they transfer like that. Yes, those things do happen, but they’re not epidemics.
John Tabacco: Got it.
Dr. John Jaquish: Yeah.
John Tabacco: These things, my feeling is that these things tend to fizzle out after three or four months and they get under control. I really appreciate you coming down. We’ve got to do this. You’ve got to set up a day where we can get you in for more time. You got to take me through all the paces of what kind of exercises I can do.
Dr. John Jaquish: Sure. Sure. Really anything. This is going to revolutionize the weightlifting industry and I think weights are actually going to go away because what I can demonstrate, and I did this with a medical device I developed 10 years ago to treat osteoporosis. It’s the strongest effector of bone density it’s ever been created. The science from that went into this, and it really shows that weightlifting is incredibly inefficient because we need variable resistance to match our variable capability. You are much weaker here than you are here. If you watch little kids do pushups, they cheat and they do this for a reason. It’s because they’re powerful here. They’re weak here, right? Right. Why don’t we leverage the body’s biomechanical capability and get a better effect?
John Tabacco: Got it.
Alison Maloni: This is both for male and female.
Dr. John Jaquish: Yeah, both for male and female.
Alison Maloni: That looks like a great process.
Dr. John Jaquish: You’re going to look just like me with hair.
John Tabacco: Oh wow.
Alison Maloni: Wow. crosstalk I was a gymnast growing up-
John Tabacco: I heard from our sponsor and friends over at Invest View. We’re going to come back with the US trade advisor, a Tom Keel from Kingsbridge strategies. Quick break, back at you right after this. John, thank you.
